WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HAIR TOPPERS

Have you decided you are ready to take the leap into the alternative hair world?  Hair Toppers are a perfect option for anyone wanting to add coverage, fullness and/or volume—toppers will be a great option to explore to see if it is the right alternative hair option for you! There are many of topper options which provide coverage to the front, top, crown, or the entire head. There also are options for all hair lengths and fiber types.

What is the difference between a WIG and a HAIR TOPPER?

WIG is a full, alternative hair, system that covers your head.

HAIR TOPPER (aka TOPPER) covers part of your head. Base sizes vary and what size is right for you will be determined by the coverage you need and/or the density/fullness you desire.

THE PERFECT SIZE

Remember: a topper is not a full wig! Snap your topper into sturdy, healthy hair.

LENGTH

Your topper does not have to match your hair length perfectly – your stylist can trim your hair topper to suit you, add layers, and more!

FIBER & TEXTURE

Select the fiber and texture that best matches your biological hair.

CHOOSING A COLOR

Using a color ring or samples provided, choose the color that best aligns to the biological hair that will be showing while wearing the topper.

COLOR MATCHING

Since a topper has to blend in with your biological hair, color matching is REALLY important! We recommend working with a professional alternative hair consultant to color match to your bio hair.

Non-Surgical Hair Replacement

Losing your hair can be distressing at any age but especially if it’s premature or severe. Unfortunately, it’s a common reality for many men and women, and it can really affect their confidence and sense of self.

There are multiple factors that influence hair loss. It can be hereditary or caused by hormonal changes, medical conditions or medications. If you’re suffering from low self-esteem as a result of hair loss, there are solutions available to help you, including non-surgical hair replacement.

Surgical vs Non-Surgical Hair Replacement

Surgical hair replacement, also known as hair transplant surgery, is a cosmetic procedure performed under local anaesthetic to treat hair loss. All hair transplants involve taking hair follicles from an area of the scalp unaffected by hair loss, and grafting these onto thinning or balding areas of the scalp.

All surgery carries some degree of risk. Hair transplant surgery involves surgical risks such as bleeding or infection, severe scarring, nerve damage as well as further surgery to treat complications.

In contrast, non-surgical hair replacement is a painless and non-invasive treatment. It gives you instant results without the risks of incompatibility, rejection, scar tissue damage or needing time to heal.

Client Testimonial

“Before having the topper installed, I was very self-conscious about my hair and trying to style it in a way that others couldn’t see the thinning hair or even bald patches. I was so limited with how I could style my hair and frustrated at how much effort it took just to simply put it in a pony tail.

Throughout the process of having a topper installed I was fully informed, educated and supported on what would be involved and how to take care of my new hair. The end result was more amazing than I could ever imagine. I am elated with my new hair. I felt so overwhelmed with not only how amazing and natural it looked but how easy it is to manage and the endless possibilities of styling that most people take for granted. The weight off my shoulders of not having to stress about how to hide my patches is such a relief.

Kyley is a superwoman and her ability to recreate your hair goals is just astounding. She is honestly a miracle worker and I felt so supported during this transition. Thank you so much to the team at Bennetts and Jackson – you are all incredible humans and I’m so happy to have found such an excellent salon. 😊  “
